Professional Development

During my time as a teacher leader, team leader, and supervisor, I have been actively involved in professional development. This began by facilitating and designing professional development for afternoon in-service days and focused on topics like technology, data analysis, student engagement, and creativity.

After assuming the role of Supervisor of Instruction, my involvement in professional development grew. This began by taking over the Best Practice PLC, and expanding it from a building-level to district-level PLC. I also proposed and created the Social Studies PLC to support informational text (data showed this as an area in need of improvement). Finally, I was asked to lead the 1:1 PLC to provide support to teachers of students in our 1:1 program.

In addition, I continue to provide professional development whenever the district needs it. I have planned several district trainings on Google. This includes three different full-day in-service sessions with various groups and levels.
